I hope you were welcomed in, just like Jesus did and, in fact, is still doing. I am convinced that in the very near future the people who come to Church are going to be coming with some pretty significant burdens and some real weariness. What will they find here? Sideways glances? Whispered judgment? Cold shoulders? Or will they find a hand to shake, a shoulder to lean on and a cup of cold water offered in Jesus name?
Since Jesus gave the invitation, let’s offer them a party worthy of Jesus’ name.
